NICOLE & JOE'S ENGAGEMENT SESSION AT DARK HOLLOW FALLS - SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

After discussing locations for an engagement shoot, we finally settled on Dark Hollow Falls trail in Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah National Park.  It was one of my favorite short trails to go on as a child, and we figured that it would be a fun and unique location for an engagement shoot!  This is one of the most popular hikes on Skyline Drive, and is usually so packed that you can't get a single photo of the waterfall without an accidental photobomb.  We had trouble finding parking, but we got there just as everyone else was leaving and ended up having the entire trail to ourselves!  As the sun began to set, we found an overlook to stop at and appreciate the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains dusted in pinks, purples, and golds.  If you have not witnessed the sun setting over Skyline Drive, you absolutely need to, because it is one of the most breathtaking views that you will ever see.

From beginning to end, Nicole and Joe were an absolute dream to work with.  As soon as we met, it felt as though we had known each other for years.  They were so much fun and such naturals in front of the camera!  These high school sweethearts are so, so in love with each other, and it definitely shows.   I have to confess--I loved every single photograph that I took of them, so it took some serious self control to resist posting every single one of them!

I am crazy excited for these two and cannot wait for their wedding in April!  Until then, sit back and enjoy looking through their gorgeous engagement session in the forest of Shenandoah National Park!
